James McGrigor

James McGrigor is the founder of McGrigor Group (MGG), a boutique strategic advisory firm, firmly established as ‘the’ leader in international health insurance (IPMI) and services. With >40 years of experience in consulting and two healthcare start-ups, he has directed over 450 projects in 95 countries. 

 

His work centres on helping both large and smaller players in IPMI drive profitable organic and inorganic growth. Utterly central to this is an effective partnership between payor and provider, and James’s team frequently runs RFP’s to select 3rd party network and claims providers, as well as working with in-house Risk Managers. MGG has partner offices in Paris, Bahrain, Hong Kong, Miami and Morocco, a 60-strong expert associate network stretching from California to Tokyo. 

 

Formerly, James has been a Corporate Finance advisor to the Association of Medical Insurance Intermediaries and co-chair for the American Population Health Association’s International Committee. He is the editor of 4 editions of the IPMI industry’s primary global research report.
